Chanel X Shanghai
Asia is becoming an area where fashion houses look towards for inspiration – it makes me proud to be Chinese (: – and Unkle Karl is no different. To celebrate the Shanghai Expo 2010, he created limited edition pieces which are the epitome of the Chinese culture.
Take a look & enjoy (:
Chinese Doll Clutch
She is wearing a traditional top where instead of buttons are knotted fabric clasps.
Chinese Doll Earrings
To match the clutch of course
Sequined 2.55 Bags
These colours represent the Chinese Flag (a red based flag with 5 yellow stars)
Green fabric and Red leather 2.55 Bag
The green and red are significant to China as these are the communist colours.
I remember this as the Chairman Mao colours
Jade Dragon Bracelet
Jade is very common in Chinese jewellery and accessories. It is custom for each girl in the family to have a jade bracelet when they are born. (I dont have one though). The symbol of the dragon means strength and is commonly used in relation to the Emperor of China.
Take Away Box
FYI Takeaway boxes dont actually look like this anywhere else other than North America haha
Stereotypes I tell you :p
If I had the money to buy any of these pieces, I would definitely go for the Chinese Doll Clutch.
