EVENT: Leyton Car Free Day

Car Free Day a splendid idea brought to the borough of Waltham Forest, now in its 7th year, a day where all roads are closed to vehicles & filled with Trade Stands, Eateries, Street Entertainers & a Stage with Live performances. The idea came about to promote healthy living and to bring the community together to unite the youth culture and businesses. Many of the small house hold name business’, many promoting and establishing new links and partnerships, as well we find that the growth in numbers each year means that it becomes a well loved practice and something that all enjoy.

Almost 40% of the transport sector’s CO2 emissions are produced by the use of private cars in cities. It’s not just the exhaust fumes, but the car itself, old batteries, tyres, oil, and of course the car itself once it fails the MOT test and goes to the scrap yard. With this as it’s underlining idea Leyton becomes adrift with bright colours and swarms of crowds around the vibrant activities and entertainment.
Come Down and enjoy the fun
