Fashion month fall 2013 ended last week in Paris, and though we’ve supplied you with numerous reviews, we’d like to bring a more important matter to your attention. Every season we hear the same cry from African-American blogs and magazines that there aren’t enough women of color on the runways. Although we are not here to shut down those allegations, we do want to shine a little light in the dark. There are a majority of white models walking the catwalk every season, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t models of color as well. And we think it’s time to turn the negative into the positive and acknowledge those who are representing women of color on the runway right now
