To the village saloon

A summer evening on the town; a walk down walthamstow village the choice down the street from Eat 17, Trattoria La Ruga, The Village Kitchen, Mondragone and finally the  Deli on Orford Road is a small friendly café, and sells delicious sandwiches and coffees and is now open Friday& Saturday evenings from 7pm till 11pm.

This evening was going to be all about tapas; something new I’ve wanted to try for some time. No meal isn’t a meal with a little sweet wine and bread with olives. Bread order of Toasted Bread with Tomato and Garlic/Parsley and Toasted Bread with Olive Oil and Garlic. Then finally for the tapas to begin a choice of spicy Pork and Beef Meat Balls Cooked and Served in Our Special Tomato Sauce, Chicken Livers Sauteed in White Wine & Garlic, Sauteed Potatoes with Spicy Tomato Sauce and Mixed Fish Calamares, White Fish and Whole Prawns Cooked in Seasonal Flour and Deep Fried.

Although each portion looked small in comparison  to the take out meals I had desired for the pass week but this spanish tapas bar that has a booking list from the ceiling to the floor and out the door surprised me and my body by filling me completely not a space for another morsel.
